Mark VII strives to lead the industry in the design and manufacturing of the most efficient, effective and profitable carwash systems. We sell a complete line of carwash equipment, including touchfree and friction rollovers, tunnels and self-serve systems, as well as chemicals, ancillary products and service agreements. All our products are backed by comprehensive warranties, Mark VII factory support and an international distribution network.
Mark VII was founded in 1966 by Harry Matthews, a carwash operator who was dissatisfied with products existing at the time and began producing his own carwash equipment. We have been credited with revolutionizing the way the petroleum industry approaches the carwash business, evolving what was once "free with a fill-up" into a premium service for which motorists are happy to pay. Between the years 1988 and 1998, Mark VII's market share grew from less than 1% to an estimated 35% of the global touch-free carwash market.
In January 2006 Mark VII was acquired by WashTec AG of Germany, the largest carwash manufacturer in the world. Mark VII now manufactures WashTec AG's SoftWash™ line of friction rollovers in its factory to complement its AquaJet GT® and AquaJet GTO™ touch-free rollovers, AquaSpray™ and AquaJet® self-serves, and AquaJet® tunnels. With an installed base of over 35,000 in-bay automatic rollovers and 1,400 tunnels, plus over 80 years of combined carwash engineering experience, WashTec AG and Mark VII set the standard for the industry by striking the ideal balance of high performance, efficiency and cost-effective operation.

When purchasing carwash equipment, you need to be confident in the capabilities of the company and people designing it. Comprised of mechanical, electrical and software engineers as well as designers and technicians, our R&D team is fully committed to the performance, reliability and safety of Mark VII products.
Long before a new carwash system reaches the production floor, our engineers design and test the concept using the same modeling software used by organizations like Boeing, Ford and NASA. This not only delivers a high-quality product but also smoothes the transition from R"D to manufacturing, ensuring an efficient production process. Our highly-structured product development process includes:
- Focus groups and continuous feedback from customers and distributors
- Development of detailed product requirements by product management
- Design reviews conducted with our quality, manufacturing, service and marketing departments
- Monthly project reviews with senior management team
- Extensive factory and field testing programs prior to product release
